- とくがわよしむね【徳川吉宗】(1684-1751) 江戸幕府第八代将軍（1716-1745）。 紀州藩主徳川光貞の四男。 幼名源六・新之助。 兄の相次ぐ死により紀州藩主となり， 徳川家継のあと， 徳川宗家を継いだ。 諸事家康への復古を唱え， 武芸・学問・殖産興業を奨励（享保の改革）， 幕府中興の祖とされる。
